So here is the big news this week:
If you all have been paying attention, you might have known that my television series, “ART or something like it!” was nominated for a New York EMMY this year. It did not win. It lost to a show produced for the MSG network. This makes me slightly confused, as the MSG network is a SPORTS network and “ART or something like it!” was nominated in the category for ARTS PROGRAM SEGMENT, so I accept my loss with a puzzled feeling.
The other thing strange that I noticed about the “LOCAL NEW YORK EMMYS” is that other stations like Bravo and TLC had submitted programs. I question this because I was under the impression that Bravo and TLC were NATIONAL networks. It seems to only be fair that if LOCAL stations cannot submit programming on a NATIONAL level, how is it that NATIONAL stations can submit on a LOCAL level? But hey, two NY EMMY nominations in two years ain’t bad for little old me.
Well thats it for my ranting, now on to the artsy shit:
You may notice that there is no “Missing Adventures of Blight the Clown” comic strip this week. I did make a new one. I have it sitting on my computer hard drive, but I am going to wait and post it next week. The reason for this is that I went a little over productive on the drawings this week, and I wanted you all to have a chance to see some other art work. I have so much new shit to post this week, I did not want to over load your little eyeball circuits.
Also, I SLASHED THE PRICES FOR MY HIGH QUALITY SUPER AWESOME DEVIANT ART DIGITAL PRINTS!!!!! You can click on any of the new images below to purchase super affordable amazing archival quality prints printed by the friendly folks at DEVIANT ART!
This is an old hand painted 35MM B&W photo I made many years ago before I ever touched Photoshop. It is simply a friend of mine posing inside the old fun house we used to work at.
This is a drawing I did for Troma Entertainment back in 2001. They had contacted me for some early poster art. Although, they did not use it for anything. The movie is finally being released this month, so I thought it would be cool to share the drawing.
As we all know, Feety Bunnies are very common creatures that live most of their life hopping on the edge of volcanoes. This one was captured in my drawing just after he got some shiny new glasses and a manny-peddy.
Blight the Clown is a silly little clown that has his own comic strip featured on Blight Productions website.
The man can try to beat a little clown down, but every ones favorite little Blight can take a stompin. From balloon animals to tigers, subways and flowers; the worlds favorite action hero clown does it all in “The Missing Adventures of Blight the Clown” only at the Blight Productions website.
Coming up next week: New Merchandise, New Blight the Clown Comic, New Drawings, New Video!!
Have lovely week,
Brian A. Bernhard
